Bridesmaids in pink

Here's Caroline with her bridesmaids, whose dresses were a really pale baby pink with slightly darker detailing on the bodices. Simple, understated and in our opinion they couldn't have complemented Caroline's dress and the flowers any better than they did.

Les cloches

So this is church bells, French style - at least as practiced in the village of Les Allues in the French Alps last Saturday. On the left we have bridesmaid Charlotte, best man Darren, then Mary and Bobby. On the right we have two Brits wearing Savoie hats and carrying between them six ancient cowbells on leather collars slung from a pole, which they swung with gusto as the entire wedding party walked through the village to the drinks reception.
