The gear

This is the time of year when we send some of our gear away for its annual service, and also when we do the annual check that everything's listed properly on our insurance schedule.
Before we put it all back in the bags, we thought we'd take a picture of some of the gear that we have with us at every wedding. So here it is. This is most of the big stuff, less one camera body and one lens that I used to take the picture!
In case you're interested, that lot amounts to four identical Canon EOS1DMkII bodies, twelve Canon lenses (ten of them being top-of-the-range L series), three Canon EX550 flashguns, three Quantum Turbo high voltage battery packs, spare batteries, 20GB of CF cards, flash leads and the tripod. If nothing else, this explains why my bag weighs over 32lb and Ann's is pushing 22lb.
What isn't shown is all the small stuff ranging from a Swiss Army knife and a MagLite to tit tape and paracetamols. Plus, of course two other things without which we can't photograph a wedding: the cans of Red Bull and the Village Bakery Organic Carrot Cake ...
