The music on the slideshow
Given a choice, Ann would have preferred something by Enya to accompany the portfolio slideshow on our website. I'd actually have gone for Morcheeba or perhaps Ibizarre, but fortunately we didn't have to argue about it because we can't actually use anything decent. In the UK it's practically impossible to get a licence to use music by anybody you've ever heard of.
So, rather than infringe an artist's copyright, we use royalty-free music, most of which is either mindless musical wallpaper of the worst kind or the sort of immensely irritating "upbeat" instrumental used to accompany an AV presentation intended to motivate a flock of double glazing salespersons at their annual convention in 1985.
The track we use is actually better than most. It's called "Flowing" and it's by T J Hill, about whom I know absolutely nothing.
And if it gets to you, at least you can turn it off ...
