Dancing lessons

Here's Zoe C and Matt nearly at the end of their first dance, about which Zoe says ...
"We'd decided that we didn't want to do the "stand in the middle of the dance floor and turn round slowly" dance, so we booked dancing lessons. Nothing special, just a few steps that we could do to a song of our choice.
However, this turned out to be far more rewarding than we'd expected in that it got us out of the house and away from wedding planning for an hour or so each week during the last couple of months. That way we could relax in each others company while still feeling we were doing something towards the wedding itself."

I wish we had done that. We had planned to have dancing lessons but given that our wedding was just too days after Christmas Day, if we weren't finalising wedding arrangements we were Xmas Shopping! It would have been a lovely thing to do though particularly since my husband is more Dennis Taylor than Fred Astaire. I little guidance would have gone a long way.

I can tell you I was no fred astaire but even i managed a few steps. More amusing for us was the 'very serious' couples we bumped into at our lessons. I think they had forgotten it was meant to be fun and the women were more often than not, berating their husbands to be on how bad they were! - Matt C
