The music on the slideshow

Given a choice, Ann would have preferred something by Enya to accompany the portfolio slideshow on our website. I'd actually have gone for Morcheeba or perhaps Ibizarre, but fortunately we didn't have to argue about it because we can't actually use anything decent. In the UK it's practically impossible to get a licence to use music by anybody you've ever heard of.
So, rather than infringe an artist's copyright, we use royalty-free music, most of which is either mindless musical wallpaper of the worst kind or the sort of immensely irritating "upbeat" instrumental used to accompany an AV presentation intended to motivate a flock of double glazing salespersons at their annual convention in 1985.
The track we use is actually better than most. It's called "Flowing" and it's by T J Hill, about whom I know absolutely nothing.
And if it gets to you, at least you can turn it off ...

Shoes #5

I think these shoes were by Paul Smith. The bridegroom's pink suit certainly was, and the shoelaces were a perfect match ...

Hats #2

This one went with an understated and beautifully tailored Dolce and Gabbana suit and a pair of Christian Louboutins worn by the bride's mum ...

Dancing lessons

Here's Zoe C and Matt nearly at the end of their first dance, about which Zoe says ...
"We'd decided that we didn't want to do the "stand in the middle of the dance floor and turn round slowly" dance, so we booked dancing lessons. Nothing special, just a few steps that we could do to a song of our choice.
However, this turned out to be far more rewarding than we'd expected in that it got us out of the house and away from wedding planning for an hour or so each week during the last couple of months. That way we could relax in each others company while still feeling we were doing something towards the wedding itself."

Hats #1

It's great when the ladies turn out for a wedding wearing hats, but ours is not to reason why some of them wear the ones they do ...

In case you weren't sure, etiquette says that ladies keep them on until the end of the meal. If, however, a hat is so enormous that it makes life difficult for the waiting staff, it's perfectly acceptable to take it off and ask for it to be put somewhere safe.

Ann's Pudding Picture #3

This one of Ann's pudding pictures comes from Penshurst Place in Kent, and for once we know the name of the waitress! This is the lovely Holly, rushing the rather nice-looking desserts out to guests at Teresa and Nick's wedding breakfast.
